Discovering Sally's yin yoga class has truly been a transforming experience for me. Yin was a missing part of my yoga practice that I have come to love. Practicing this style of yoga has brought a whole new dimension of relaxation and well-being into my life. I enjoy learning to be still and to experience all these new, healing sensations in my body. I find that my body actually craves certain yin poses. These poses are actually helping to address some of my health issues. I spent a year with Sally, meeting once a week or so. Those hours were some of the best spent thus far in my life-- in addition to the ayurveda principles that she shared with me, which helped me physically in several ways, she gave me an opportunity to make life adjustments I really needed to make. Discovering yin yoga was a turning point for me. As a long time yogini, I had only been aware of typical vinyasa classes, which I love. However, the pace and energetics of yin are exactly what I needed as a midlife woman who works too hard. As a holistic physician, it's now one of my "go to" recommendations for many individuals who need help in achieving balance. Although I've attended other yin classes which I enjoyed, Sally's style is definitely my preference. Her vast knowledge of yoga science and ayurveda adds a layer to her class that is hard to duplicate elsewhere.
